Parkland

I watched a documentary/historical drama called Parkland. Imagine me watching a documentary… big surprise right?

Anywhoo Parkland is based on John F. Kennedy Jr. and his unfortunate assassination. The movie starts the day of the assassination and then follows the events three days after.

The movie mainly focuses on the everyday characters and not on JFK. For example the secret service, the gentleman who was filming the whole incident, the medical professionals at the hospital (FYI the hospital was is named Parkland) and Lee Harvey Oswald's brother.

I was surprised to learn some actual facts. I’m going to try not to give away too much so you will check it out too but history is history. So, one of the things that stood out the most was that the killer, Lee Harvey Oswald was buried on the same day as JFK. The same hospital that tried to save JFK was the same hospital that tried to save Lee Harvey Oswald.

Another thing that I never thought of was when loading the coffin onto the plane the whole situation was obviously very stressful but the secret service had to actually part of the plane to accommodate the coffin.

I couldn’t even begin to imagine the amount adrenaline and sadness that everyone experienced that day but it was an awesome documentary and I encourage everyone to check out a film that is just about as accurate as they come.
